The company seeks a resourceful and experienced professional to oversee and streamline operations, ensuring scalable and efficient growth across its business verticals.
We are seeking an exceptionally analytical and proactive Financial Analyst with extensive experience in construction/development finance. This role is designed for a candidate with CFO-level financial intelligence and hands-on experience in Buildertrend and QuickBooks Online (QBO). The ideal candidate will build out the client’s entire financial system, offering strategic insights while managing core financial operations such as cash flow forecasting, burn rate monitoring, and risk analysis.
It also involves bookkeeping—it requires setting up and maintaining a complete financial infrastructure, including Chart of Accounts, Cost Codes, General Ledgers (GLs), and financial reporting for both construction and property management sides of the business.

Build & Optimize Financial Infrastructure
• Design and implement a robust accounting and finance system to support construction and development operations.
• Build Chart of Accounts, Cost Codes, and General Ledger structure for:
• Construction & Development via Buildertrend + QuickBooks Online (QBO)
• Property Management via AppFolio
Own the Books & Reconciliations
• Be the go-to finance person: handle receipts, transaction matching, reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable, receivable, and payroll coordination.
• Apply accrual accounting and ensure clean, audit-ready books.
Construction & Property Financial Ops
• Use Buildertrend + QBO to manage project budgets, job costing, billing, and invoicing.
Use AppFolio for rent rolls, maintenance costs, and owner distributions.
Forecasting & Financial Strategy
• Lead weekly/monthly forecasting for cash flow, expenses, and capital needs.
• Identify and communicate risks using key metrics like:
• Burn Rate, CAC, ROAS, Job Profitability
Reporting & Decision Support
• Create dashboards and financial reports to support executive decisions.
• Participate in weekly leadership syncs with data-driven insights.
• Experienced: 3+ years in accounting/finance, ideally in real estate, construction, or property management.
• Tech-Savvy: Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online (QBO); familiarity with Buildertrend or fast learning curve.
• Strategic Thinker: Able to see the big picture while getting the details right.
• U.S. Accounting Knowledge: Comfortable with U.S. GAAP and project-based revenue models.
• CPA, CMA, or CFA (preferred but not required)
• Experience setting up financial systems or leading finance operations from scratch
• Understanding of:
• Capital expenditure tracking
• Construction draw processes
• Contractor payments and invoicing cycles
